This uniquely sought-after black & white image, SON OF GOD (II) has been published in a Bible Literacy Project by the 200 year-old, Massachusetts Bible Society.
As I study this image I begin to see, the surrounding souls of those who intercede and the spirits of those who worship God, ever encircling his presence, seeking his face. In drawing nearer to him, they also draw near to each another.
With an almost Mona Lisa expression, I can sense the extreme pleasure God receives from such child-like faith as we worship and pray. Jesus being the Son of God helps me understand a bit more of the divine sonship we mortals have as a new creation in Christ. It's a marvelous mystery to be sure but a privilege none the less.
